Ingredients
- Peeled and sliced shallots - 1 Cup
- Dry red chilies - 8-12 (Adjust to taste)
- Tamarind - 1 Small piece
- Hing - 1 Pinch (Optional)
- Oil - 1-2 Tablespoon
- Salt - To Taste
Method
- Heat oil and fry chilies for 2-3 mins until they glisten. Keep flame low. Once done, remove and set aside.
- Add shallots to the same pan and fry until golden. Turn off flame.
- Grind the fried chilly and shallots with other ingredients to a smooth paste.
Adjust the ingredients to your taste.
